Finally we can find a bg artist. Tomorrow we will be taking some references photos.
The game will not be developed in RMXP anymore, regardless of how far it has been done. The game system will also be revamped. I can assure you that the new system is far superior and more fun in term of gameplay.
Also, all the CG sketches are pretty much all done. I’m looking forward to have more freetime after I finish my thesis so I can eventually get thsi game done.
This is not the latest video, unfortunately. However, I just want to update the progress that the game status is put on hold sicne we’re moving to C++. I will release the GM version as demo first though, though I don’t know when I can do that yet.
Currently I’m working on Ninja Kame again. Ninja Kame is a bullet hell shmup project that was going to be made in Game Maker. However, due to some design problem the project was on hold for a while.
And now that I’m moving away from GM and gear toward C++, I think it would be better for me if I start from making a shmup game ( They’re the easiest genre IMHO. Easy to make doesn’t mean easy to make it FUN though )
So here’s the progress. It’s pretty nice so far and the framework can handle 1500 – 2000 bullets. Normally this would lag as heck in Game Maker. The sprites used in the screenshot are from another project “Magus Magus” which is also put on hold and maybe remade in this framework too, considering it’s also a bullet hell game
